Programme Overview
The EANO School of Neuro-Oncology is a comprehensive high level, postgraduate, in-depth 2-year program in neuro-oncology covering 7 virtual weekends (once every 2-3 months) plus a one-day face-to-face meeting at the EANO Meeting in Rome in September 2026. 
It aims to provide education on all aspects of the discipline, including basic science, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of all neuro-oncology conditions for adults and children, as well as supportive care for survivors and end-of-life care and research to healthcare professionals and basic scientists planning a career in the field.

Structure and Format
Each weekend will consist of approximately 12 teaching hours and will cover main topics in neuro-oncology fields, such as basic and translational research, gliomas, extra axial tumors, CNS lymphoma, pediatric NO, other rare primary CNS tumors, metastases to the CNS, and neurological complications of cancer and anti-cancer treatments, and palliative care.
The topics will be multi-disciplinary, pre-clinical and clinical with a translational focus and case-based teaching whenever possible. At the end of each weekend, a test will be held. In addition, a comprehensive test after completion of the course will lead to a certificate. 
Participants can also participate in a 1-3 month observership at an accredited neuro-oncology center (for health care professionals) or research laboratory (basic/translational scientists) organized by participants themselves with advice from EANO. No funding will be available for this activity from EANO.

Eligibility and Target Audience
The program is available for a limited number of attendees, from the fields of neurology, medical oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuroradiology, neuropathology, specialised nursing and allied health professionals, and basic/translational scientists working in NO or related fields, who commit to completing the whole course and are selected based on an application.

The applicants are expected to be at a master’s degree level or equivalent, for example:

• BSc plus completed first year of PhD for basic scientists; 
• MD plus completed first year of residency/training; 
• Registered nurses or allied health professionals holding at least a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate training preferred where available), with a minimum of 1–2 years of relevant clinical experience.

Working knowledge of English is required. 

Fees and Inclusions
The cost of the program will be EUR 3.000 (+VAT).
This fee includes travel reimbursement and one night accommodation for the kick-off day in Rome, a one-year EANO membership (valid for the second year following the start of the EANO School, i.e., 2027), registration for the EANO 2026 Meeting and Education Day in Rome, learning materials for all modules, EANO certificate and CME credits.

Note: All participants of the EANO School must be active EANO members for the duration of the entire course.

Attendance Requirements
All participants will be expected to attend ALL the sessions as well as the first face-to-face day which will take place the day before the EANO Meeting in Rome on September 23, 2026, and complete all the tests.
One weekend (and associated test) can be skipped for extenuating circumstances. That weekend will be given to the participants as a recording.
