Neuro-Oncology Pediatrics is now live! This new open-access, interdisciplinary journal is dedicated to advancing the field of pediatric and adolescent/young adult (AYA) neuro-oncology. It publishes high-quality basic, translational, and clinical research spanning the full spectrum of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve tumors affecting children and AYAs, including studies on late effects, survivorship, and quality of life.

The journal’s scope reflects the breadth and complexity of the field, welcoming work that addresses tumor biology, innovative diagnostics, precision medicine, novel therapeutics, supportive care, neuroimaging, epidemiology, clinical trials, and health equity. Neuro-Oncology Pediatrics aims to be a global forum where multidisciplinary teams can share discoveries that directly improve patient outcomes.

The fourth title in the Neuro-Oncology family of journals, Neuro-Oncology Pediatrics, is published by Oxford University Press and is co-owned by the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) and the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO). The editorial leadership team includes representatives from the three charter members of the World Federation of Neuro-Oncology Societies – the Asian Society for Neuro-Oncology (ASNO), EANO, and SNO – ensuring a truly international perspective.

The launch of Neuro-Oncology Pediatrics was made possible in part through a generous grant from the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. "We are deeply grateful for the Foundation’s support, which has helped make this important new resource a reality," said Dr. Haas-Kogan. "Their commitment to advancing research and improving the lives of children with brain tumors is inspiring."

With its inaugural content now online, Neuro-Oncology Pediatrics begins its journey to inform, inspire, and support the global community working to improve care for children and AYAs affected by brain and nervous system tumors.

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for the position of Executive Editor of Neuro-Oncology Advances (NOA), the official journal of the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) in partnership with the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO). Following the recent appointment of Professor Wolfgang Wick as Editor-in-Chief, the position of Executive Editor for EANO has become available.

In a team of 3 Executive Editors and 22 Associate Editors together with an excellent Editorial Office you will be responsible for the scientific and structural development of the journal. This is involving handling manuscripts, developing ideas for featured content and formats, as well as contact to the editorial board and the neuro-oncology community.

We are seeking an established and dynamic clinical and/or preclinical researcher with the following qualifications:

• Experience in editorial roles, particularly in reviewing and managing scientific content
• A strong track record of published research in neuro-oncology
• A passion for advancing neuro-oncology research and fostering collaborations
• Must be an EANO Member

About the journal Neuro-Oncology Advances

Neuro-Oncology Advances (NOA) was launched in 2019 as the first open-access journal published by OUP in partnership with the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) and the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO). Its aim is to ensure that research and discoveries in the field are accessible to a broader readership and retained within the wider neuro-oncology community. NOA is an inter-disciplinary journal encompassing basic, applied, and clinical investigations in all research areas as they relate to cancer and the central nervous system.
