EANO wishes to further strengthen its role as the leading association for Neuro-Oncology in Europe. To support this goal, educational activities are at the very core of EANO. Over the past years, there has been a significant increase in educational activities.
The Educational Committee is chaired by Matthijs van der Meulen and develops the program for the Education Day, which precedes the annual EANO Meeting. It also leads the School of Neuro-Oncology, regularly launches mentorship programs, is responsible for the biannual Seminars, and organises tumour boards to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of brain cancer patients.
In addition, the Educational Committee supports interaction with other societies, particularly with a focus on joint educational activities, and supports the development of Neuro-Oncology outside Europe.
All these activities bring experts in the field together and focus on a multidisciplinary approach to Neuro-Oncology.
