To involve young clinicians and scientist in Neuro-Oncology at a very early state in the European Society of Neuro-Oncology (EANO). The young clinicians and scientists should be encouraged to actively participate in the EANO conference and activities become to become active, long lasting members of EANO.
The EANO Youngsters Initiative targets young clinicians and scientists at the beginning of their career development. The EANO Youngsters Initiative shall provide career development offers and a platform for exchange and networking. To this end, educational activities such as congress sessions and meetings shall be organized to further knowledge and skills in multidisciplinary clinical Neurooncology and research methodology (basic, translational, clinical). EANO members under an age of 35 can participate in the EANO Youngsters Initiative.
EANO Youngsters Committee
All members of the EANO Youngsters Committee have to be active EANO members.
The EANO Youngsters committee consists of up to 10 members and should be composed of representatives from geographic regions and disciplines relevant to Neurooncology. The nomination has to be confirmed by the EANO board.
The committee is represented by a chair and a co-chair, who are appointed by the EANO board. One board member is appointed as mentor of the EANO Youngsters Initiative and shall serve as main contact person for guidance of EANO Youngsters Initiative projects.
The mandates of the chair and co-chair as well as the committee membersare held for two years and are renewable by the board until the age of 35.
