Call for applications to host EANO Seminars 2028
The EANO Educational Committee invites you to submit a bid to host the EANO Seminars 2028 in locations* that usually do not host EANO Meetings or EANO Seminars.
EANO Seminars is an educational event that aims to provide an update on the recent advances in the pathogenesis and management of CNS tumors with particular attention devoted to the application in the clinical practice. It is aimed to attract scientists, physicians and healthcare professionals involved in diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors, and is aimed mainly at junior staff from all over Europe.
Please be aware that hosting the EANO Seminars will require major involvement and efforts of the local host to support the Educational Committee with program development and the EANO Office with the event organization.
Please find the bid requirements, expectations for the local host and further information below:
1) Bid requirements
- The venue should ideally be located on a university or hospital campus to minimise venue costs. Please include an estimate of the venue hire costs.
- Capacity for 80 participants.
- The event duration is 1.5 days (a full day on Friday and a half day on Saturday).
- Proposed dates should be in spring 2028, ideally in March or April.
- The venue should be easily accessible from major European airports, preferably via direct flights.
- Accommodation should be available close to the venue. Please indicate nearby 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, including the average room rate.
- Plenary room in theatre-style layout with seating for up to 80 participants.
- Venue availability for a potential full-day pre-meeting prior to the EANO Seminars.
2) Expectations for the local host
- Support the EANO Office with the onsite organisation of the event.
- Be responsible for involving the local and/or national society.
- The local host will be co-opted onto the EANO Educational Committee for approximately two years (from the date of selection until the event has taken place) an is expected to regularly attend the EANO Educational Committee meetings. Evidence of previous or planned engagement with EANO is a plus.
- Work closely with the EANO Educational Committee to develop the scientific program and select the faculty.
3) Side events
- Possibility to organise one evening social event for all participants and faculty (e.g. a buffet or set menu at a local restaurant).
4) Application process
Prepare your application/bid considering the above-mentioned requirements.
Submit your application to EANO Office at office@eano.eu by the deadline October 15, 2026, 23:59 CEST.
The EANO Educational Committee will review all applications and submit its recommendation to the Executive Board for final approval. All applicants will be notified of their application status by the end of December 2026.
