EANO AWARDS
EANO RESEARCH AWARD
The EANO Research Award of the Year is awarded for outstanding publication in basic, translational, or clinical research in the field of Neuro-Oncology and is open for all EANO members. The publication must be published (or have been accepted for publication) between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026.
Please submit following documents for nomination:
- official publication or accepted for publication (between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026)
- brief outline of the significance of this paper and how it contributes to existing knowledge
- a copy of the candidate’s current short CV/resumé (max. 5 page)
Please submit your nomination at the latest by May 15th, 2026 by email to awards@eano.eu.

Selection and notification:
All applications received by the deadline will undergo review by the Scientific Committee and confirmed by the EANO Executive Board. Candidates will be notified by email announcing their selection (or not) including the information regarding the day and time of the award presentation.
Please note: If awarded, the awardee must attend the next EANO Meeting. The awardee will receive free registration for the EANO Educational Day as well as for the EANO Meeting 2026. In addition, a prize money of EUR 5.000,- will be rewarded.
The awardee will also be highlighted on the EANO Website and via EANO’s social media channels. The EANO Executive Board reserves the right to not select an awardee for a specific award if none of the candidates meet the eligibility criteria.
EANO YOUNGSTER AWARD
The EANO Youngster Award is awarded for a first or corresponding outstanding authorship of an outstanding publication in the field of Neuro-Oncology and is open for all EANO members up to 40 years old, within 5 years following their promotion or within 10 years after their specialisation. The publication must be published (or have been accepted for publication) between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026.
Please submit following documents for the nomination:
- official publication (between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026)
- brief outline of the significance of this paper and how it contributes to existing knowledge
- a copy of the candidate’s current short CV/resumé (max. 1 page)

EANO Nurse & Allied Health Professional Research Award
The EANO Nurse & Allied Health Professional Research Award is awarded for outstanding publication in the field of nursing and AHP research in Neuro-Oncology and is open for all EANO AHP/Nurses members. It is thought as an recognition of an EANO member for outstanding professional achievement as a nurse or AHP who has conducted original research with a significantly impact on international research and/or clinical practice. The publication must be published (or have been accepted for publication) between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026.
Please submit following documents for the nomination:
- official publication (between 01.05.2025 and 01.05.2026)
- brief outline of the significance of this paper and how it contributes to existing knowledge
- a copy of the candidate’s current short CV/resumé (max. 1 page)

EANO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AWARD
The EANO Diversity and Inclusion Award is awarded for outstanding contribution to increasing diversity in EANO and is open for all EANO members.
For the nomination, please submit following documents:
- a letter from the nominator (an EANO member), limited to 1 page maximum, written on letterhead and signed; and addressing the following:
- indicate how the nominator knows the candidates (e.g., in what capacity/role, how long);
- provide supportive information using the eligibility criteria, clearly describe the candidate’s work under the criterion.
- a letter of recommendation from a colleague who can speak to the candidate’s work, limited to 1-page maximum.
- a copy of the candidate’s current short CV/resumé (max. 1 page)

EANO LEADERSHIP AWARD
The EANO Leadership Award is awarded every second year to international research by individuals, teams and organisations that demonstrate commitment to research and/or education in the field of Neuro-Oncology. It is awarded as a recognition for outstanding leadership achievements in oncology.
The selection is done by the EANO Executive Board without prior application needed. Nominations or suggestions are possible at the latest by May 15th, 2026 by email to awards@eano.eu

The awardee will receive a free registration for the EANO Meeting 2026 as well EANO Educational Day and will be highlighted on the EANO Website and via EANO’s social media channels.
EANO Travel Scholarships
NAC Travel Scholarships
The NAC Travel Scholarship offers the opportunity for nurses and allied health professionals working in the field of neuro-oncology to attend the annual EANO Meeting to expand their research network and for knowledge exchange. A total of EUR 1.000 will be awarded per scholarship to cover travel and accommodation expenses related as well as receiving free registration for the Educational Day and EANO Meeting 2026.
With the aim of fostering future research collaborations worldwide, successful applicants, based on their interests, will be paired with an experienced NAC representative. EANO Membership is not required.

- motivation letter (1 page) explaining how attending the EANO Meeting 2026 would benefit you, and outlining your research interests.

Disparity Travel Scholarships for EANO Members from Underrepresented Countries*
We are excited to announce the launch of up to three (3) travel scholarships tailored to support delegates from underrepresented EANO Member countries*.
The EANO Disparity Travel Scholarship aims to empower EANO Members from underrepresented countries* by providing financial assistance to cover travel and accommodation expenses associated with attending our upcoming EANO 2026 Meeting in Rome. Up to three (3) EUR 1.000 travel scholarships will be awarded. The awardees will receive free registration for the Educational Day and EANO Meeting 2026.
This scholarship seeks to foster diversity within the EANO association, aiming for broader representation of perspectives from different countries. We therefore encourage applicants from various cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, and geographical regions to apply. EANO Members from all professions are welcome to apply.

- motivation letter for attending the EANO 2026 Meeting in Rome (5-10 lines).

*Note: The objective of this scholarship is to strengthen EANO membership in underrepresented countries. In the 2026 selection process, the following countries, which already have strong membership representation, will not receive priority for this scholarship: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
